In 2008, many organisations in Queensland signed a commitment to Close the Gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. Six years on, and in light of two key reports highlighting progress towards Closing the Gap, it is timely to reflect on the progress that has been made and to take further steps to build and strengthen our efforts. Most importantly, the Health Leaders Forum provides an important opportunity to reaffirm an ongoing commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes.
